Use electrical appliances moderatly
- Above 50km/h close the windows and leave open the air vents, also do not forget to use equipment that lowers the cabin temperature.
- If the vehicle has a manual AC unit, turn it off when cabin temperature becomes pleasant.
- Turn off unfreezing and un-fogging switches, unless these functions are automatic.
- Use car seat heating moderately and turn it off when not necessary.
- Avoid heating the engine in place, without putting it in to first gear, especially during winter, the car will heat faster during driving.
- As a passenger, do not constantly use multimedia devices. In this way you will lover electrical usage which will result in lower fuel consumption.
- Unplug electrical appliance when exiting the vehicle (GPS, Wi-Fi…).
- Distribute the weight in the car accordingly, put the heaviest luggage on the bottom of the bunker close to the seats. Limit the burden to the car, and the aerodynamic resistance (roof carriers, bike carrier, trailers etc…) If possible, use a roof crate. After usage remove roof carriers.
- Regularly check tire pressure (when checking the tires should be cold, otherwise adjust them to 0,3 bars higher than recommended) and adjust it according to the sticker on the driver’s door, or the inside of the fuel tank cap.
- When refuelling do not fill it beyond the third click of the pump as to avoid fuel spilling.
